Charlotte B. Odom was named the vice president of Communications and Development for Health Centers in Schools in May 2008. Ms. Odom came to the organization with 16 years at Entergy’s River Bend nuclear station in St. Francisville, LA. Her diverse functions at the plant included community relations, contract management, work management/ materials coordination, and Total Quality and teambuilding facilitation. She played leading roles for human performance, awards and recognition and the political action committee. Ms. Odom also served for several years as director of the Joint Information Center, ensuring that factual and timely information reached the press and public concerning any potential emergency situation affecting the nuclear plant.

Ms. Odom also worked as a part-time facilitator for the University of Phoenix, teaching marketing and management. Her other experience includes serving as membership director for Friends of Louisiana Public Broadcasting (public television) and working in political fundraising and marketing research.

Having traveled extensively in Mexico as well as Europe, Ms. Odom holds a master’s degree in marketing and a bachelor’s degree in French from Louisiana State University, where she was an Alumni Federation Scholar. She has three children and lives in Baton Rouge where she enjoys various musical pursuits, traveling and volunteering in the community.
