Gail Craig Lamb supervises the registered nurses at school-based health centers as well as school nurses. Having begun her service with HCS in 1998, she is a registered nurse provider at Northeast High School’s health center. Ms. Lamb assesses, evaluates and manages patients’ care and contacts physicians for student referrals as needed. Her other duties include administering immunizations and medications per physician’s orders, participating in multi-disciplinary teams and establishing care plans. Ms. Lamb does a great deal of outreach and health education for HCS through school, community and church health fairs.

Ms. Lamb’s previous experience includes working as a case manager and assistant director of nursing for Davis Home Health. She also served as a staff registered nurse for the skilled unit of Baton Rouge General Health Systems.

A certified psychiatric nurse in the state of Louisiana, Ms. Lamb received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Southern University School of Nursing. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in religious education from the Christian Bible College in Baton Rouge and certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse from West Side Vocational Technical School in Plaquemine, Louisiana. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and volunteering at her church where her husband is pastor.
